About the site
thebigeat was started to make it easy to
find takeaway menus and food. All too often we found that
we'd lost the one menu we wanted, or we couldn't find the
phone number for a certain takeaway in the telephone directories.
We want the site to be useful before being profitable, so
we list all takeaways for free. This means that there's no
reason for every takeaway not to be on here.
The website is unique in that users can search by food type,
and can see the results on a clearly displayed map.
We're working our way through London and Manchester to provide
full coverage before rolling the site out to other areas around
the UK.
